M.Video is the largest Russian consumer electronic retail chain by revenues. The company began operations in 1993. In November 2007, it became the first publicly traded company in the domestic consumer electronic retail sector. The shares trade on Russian RTS and MICEX.
In 2012, M.Video’s retail revenues reached R158 bln (including VAT), up 20% y-o-y. The company runs 296 brand name stores in 127 Russian cities (as of December 31, 2012). Its selling space totals to 537,000 m2, while the total space is 723,000 m2. M.Video’s revenues per m2 totaled R308,000 in 2012.
