RusHydro is one of Russia’s largest power generation companies. It is the leading producer of renewable energy in Russia with over 70 generating facilities in Russia and abroad. The company also manages a number of research and design, engineering and electricity retail companies. The group’s total electricity generation capacity is 36.5 GW, including the generating capacities of Eastern Energy Systems and Boguchanskaya HPP, the most modern plant in Russia.
The Russian state owns 65.9% of RusHydro’s share capital, the rest held by other institutional and individual shareholders (over 360,000). The company’s stock is traded on the Moscow Exchange and included in the MSCI EM and MSCI Russia indexes. The company’s GDRs are in the IOB section of the LSE, the ADRs in OTCQX.
