Alexander Nazarchuk was born in 1969 near Kiev. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1993 and was awarded a PhD in 1996 and a Higher Doctorate in 2002 from the same university.
Since 1996, Mr Nazarchuk has worked for N-Trans (formerly Severstaltrans), the largest private company in Russia operating in the sphere of transport and infrastructure, including rail transport and port asset management.
Mr Nazarchuk participated in the IPO of leading Russian rail freight transport operator Globaltrans on the London Stock Exchange in May 2008. He also worked on leading Russian port operator Global Ports’ IPO in June 2011.
He is a BoD member at Global Ports, the biggest operator of container terminals on the Russian market, as well as a number of other companies.
Mr Nazarchuk has been a professor of philosophy at the Lomonosov Moscow State University since 2002.
