Member of the Management Board, Russian Direct Investment Fund
Konstantin Ryzhkov has over 15 years of investment and merchant banking experience in Russia and abroad. Before joining the Russian Direct Investment Fund in 2011, he was Managing Director and Adviser to the President of International Investment Bank, a multinational financial institution operating in the former Soviet Union. In this role, he was responsible for all of the bank’s business activities, including trading, debt and equity products, and principal investments.
Mr Ryzhkov started his career in 1997 at NationsBanc Securities (later Banc of America Securities) in its US project finance and later corporate finance teams. He was responsible for origination and structuring of project financing, M&A advisory, public debt and equity raising, and private equity investments.
He joined the team responsible for setting up investment banking at VTB in 2003 and developed its merchant banking and acquisition finance practice into the leading Russian franchise.
Mr Ryzhkov holds a BA in Economics from Davidson College.
